Last week I found out
that I have
Fortunately it is not too severe,
and hopefully only
temporary.
It was a very scary time, though,
but in reflection
it seems that I can
find lots of
silver linings
within this
predicament.
I am blessed with the love of family.
My husband sat with me in the hospital
awaiting diagnosis
and was so sweet in the way that he
tried to joke when
I knew inside he was scared.
He got me all fixed on the couch the next day,
fixed me soup and made sure
I took my medicine.
My son was so sweet in his concern
and keeps coming by or calling every day
to know that things are okay.
My parents and family and friends have
shown concern for my well being
and a love that knows no bounds.
So thankful for the awesome hospital we have
and the wonderful health care. I know that many
do not have that and I am thankful for our
blessing and concerned for those
less fortunate. I will continue to pray
for resolve to the whole
health care crisis.
So thankful that
my God
provides for me,
takes care of me,
and will carry me
through the mire
for all my days.
